Turn a MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM or almost anything else into an MP4.
Because this runs in your browser, the limit is your own memory rather than an upload cap. Files up to a few hundred megabytes are comfortable on a normal laptop; a multi-gigabyte recording is better trimmed first.
How this one works
MP4 with h264 and AAC is the one combination every phone, browser and platform accepts. If a file will not upload somewhere, or will not play on someone else's machine, this is usually the fix.
Where the file goes
Nowhere. The video is read by the page and processed by a copy of ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, running inside this tab on your own machine. There is no server in the path, which is also why there is no size limit and no queue — and why a very long file depends on how much memory your computer has rather than on how busy we are.
What it costs
Nothing, and there is no catch to find later: no watermark, no sign-in before the download, no cap on how many times you can use it. It costs us nothing per use, because your computer did the work.
